This is a handmade leather mask based on the traditional depiction of Anubis, jackal-faced god of ancient Egypt. It is made entirely from one piece of 8oz leather, hand carved & shaped without molds or forms, then dyed & painted with colorfast acrylics in bright gold, red, royal blue & black. The mask is sealed with a clear-coat acrylic & is water resistant & safe to wear in any weather.
Signed, dated original. The mask comes with a suede tab for hanging and gold organza ties for wearing.
Anubis is the god of the underworld...a very serious fellow.
